Paris Brennt ? - Is Paris burning?

Hitler wanted to destroy Paris, to burn it to the ground. He ordered his commander, Dietrich von Cholitz to burn Paris. Hitler knew the symbolic power which Paris exerts, not only for the French, but for all of the civilized world. The beauty, the culture and charm of Paris was an affront to his nihilistic world view. He wanted Paris reduced to a pile of stones, to remove all traces of this jewel of Western Civilization.

Hitler could not destroy Paris, but it is now threatened by a new Fascist ideology, Islamic fundamentalism.

The Nazis are back and this time Paris is burning. Tourists have been attacked and the French have been let down by their political masters, who no longer even bother with the pretence of protecting their citizens. Their beloved capital is under siege. Let French patriots know that the rest of the world cares, the birth place of the Enlightenment will not be extinguished by IsIamic savagery any more than by Nazi savagery.

Is Paris destroyed? Non! It shines as a symbol of the achievements of Western civilization. It is more than a city, it is an idea, that threatens the nihilism of Islamic Fascism and points to what free people can achieve.
